Terms of Use
Last updated: 4 November 2026
These terms apply to your use of everylog.net ("EveryLog", "the service"), operated by Abdelhakim Hamzaoui. You accept them when you create an account, and they apply each time you use the service. If you do not agree, do not register or use the service.
1. What the service does
EveryLog converts diagnostic log files that you upload, currently HPE Active Health System (.ahs) files, Dell EqualLogic PS Series diagnostic bundles (.dgo segment files, or a .zip of them), HPE MSA store logs (.logs, or the .zip downloaded from the array), HPE EVA / P6000 captures saved by HP Command View EVA (.zip, .tar.gz or EVA_config.xml) HPE 3PAR StoreServ InSplores collected by the Service Processor (.tbz2 or .zip) the diagnostic dumps exported by the iBMC of Huawei and xFusion servers (.tar.gz or .zip) and the service data and event logs exported by the IMM2 of IBM and Lenovo System x servers (.tgz, .elg or .zip) the output of IBM / Lenovo Dynamic System Analysis (.xml.gz, .xml or .zip), the supportshow output of Brocade Fibre Channel switches (text, .gz or .zip), and the snaps of IBM and Lenovo Storwize, FlashSystem and SAN Volume Controller systems (.tgz or .zip), and the SP collections of Dell EMC VNX and Unity storage systems (SPcollect .zip, service data .tar or .tgz), into a readable HTML report. The conversion is done by EveryLog's own software, which was developed independently by analysing sample files. It does not use HPE, Dell, Huawei, xFusion, Lenovo, IBM, Broadcom or Brocade software, tools or documentation that are not public; the optic limits for Brocade switches come from Brocade's published Fabric OS MAPS User Guide.
2. Accounts
The service is for IT professionals and requires an account.
- Professional e-mail. You must register with the e-mail address your company or organisation gave you. Personal addresses (for example Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook.com or iCloud), forwarding services and disposable inboxes are not accepted.
- Accurate details. Give your real name and the organisation you work for or on behalf of, and keep them up to date (contact us to change them). Giving a phone number is optional; if you give one, the administrator may call you on it to confirm your registration.
- E-mail confirmation. After registering you receive a 6-digit code by e-mail, which you enter on the site to confirm your address. It is valid for 24 hours; a registration that is not confirmed within 7 days is deleted.
- Manual approval. Once your address is confirmed, an administrator reviews your registration. This can take up to 24 hours, and you are told by e-mail when it is decided. Until your account is approved you cannot sign in or convert files. There is no right to approval: a registration can be declined, for example when the organisation or the intended use cannot be confirmed.
- Access levels. The administrator gives each account an access level (Normal, Advanced or Super Advanced) that decides which sections of a report it shows. The level can be changed at any time, and there is no right to a particular level.
- One person per account. An account is personal. Keep your password confidential, do not share your account, and tell us if you think someone else has used it.
- Suspension and closure. An account can be disabled or deleted if these terms are broken, if misuse is suspected, or when the service is stopped. You can delete your account yourself at any time on the Your account page. An account that has not been signed in to for 12 months is deleted automatically, after a warning e-mail 30 days before.
3. Not affiliated with HPE or Dell
EveryLog is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored or supported by Hewlett Packard Enterprise ("HPE"), Dell Technologies and Dell Inc. ("Dell"), Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., xFusion Digital Technologies Co., Ltd., Lenovo, International Business Machines Corporation or Broadcom Inc. HPE, iLO, ProLiant, Synergy, Active Health System, MSA, EVA, P6000, 3PAR, StoreServ and InForm are trademarks of Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Dell, EMC, EqualLogic, PS Series, VNX, Unity and Unisphere are trademarks of Dell Inc. or its subsidiaries. Huawei and iBMC are trademarks of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.; xFusion is a trademark of xFusion Digital Technologies Co., Ltd. Lenovo and System x are trademarks of Lenovo; IBM, Storwize, FlashSystem and Spectrum Virtualize are trademarks of International Business Machines Corporation. Brocade and Fabric OS are trademarks of Broadcom Inc. and/or its affiliates. They are used here only to describe the files the service accepts.
4. Not an official diagnosis
Reports are produced from an undocumented file format. They may be incomplete or wrong. A component shown as "OK" only means that no fault was found in the log, not that the hardware was tested. A report is not an official HPE or Dell diagnosis and does not replace the manufacturer's support, its own tools or a qualified technician. Check important findings with the manufacturer or your hardware supplier before you replace parts, open a support case or make other decisions.
5. No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", free of charge, without any warranty, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The service may be changed, limited, interrupted or stopped at any time without notice.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from the use of the service or of a report, including lost data, downtime, wrong hardware decisions or lost profits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury.
7. Your responsibilities
- Authorisation to upload. Only upload a diagnostic file if you are authorised to share it: it comes from equipment that you or your organisation own or manage, or the owner of the equipment (for example your customer or your employer) has allowed you to have it processed by an external service. Contracts, confidentiality agreements and internal policies that apply to you or your customer remain your responsibility. Each time you upload a file, you confirm that you have this authorisation.
- Confidential and personal information in logs. Diagnostic logs can contain serial numbers, network addresses, configuration details and, in event and audit logs, user names and the addresses they connected from. If a file contains personal data of other people, you are responsible for having the right to share it with EveryLog for this purpose. EveryLog uses the file only to produce your report; see the Privacy notice for how files are handled.
- Do not try to disrupt or overload the service, get around its limits, upload malicious files, access other people's reports or accounts, register several accounts or accounts in someone else's name, or use automated mass uploads.
Uploads can be refused or blocked, and accounts disabled, for example when limits are reached or misuse is suspected. Each conversion is linked to the account that started it.
8. Your files, reports and account data
You keep all rights to your files. You allow EveryLog to process each file only to produce your report. The uploaded file is deleted as soon as it has been converted. The report is deleted when you click Delete now, or automatically after the viewing time shown on the page. Download the report if you want to keep it: it cannot be recovered afterwards. A report can only be opened by the account that uploaded the file. How your account data is handled is described in the Privacy notice.
Statistics. For each conversion, EveryLog keeps a statistics record: the conversion id, when it ended, the country it was uploaded from (worked out from the IP address at that moment; the address itself is not kept), the type of log, the model of the server, storage array or switch named in the report, and whether the conversion succeeded. These records do not identify you or contain the content of your file, and are kept for 24 months.
9. Personal data in your files (data processing terms)
Uploaded logs can contain personal data of other people, such as user names, host names and IP addresses in event and audit logs. For that data, you or the organisation you act for is the controller, and EveryLog processes it on your behalf as a processor under Article 28 of the GDPR. By uploading a file you instruct EveryLog to convert it into a report. EveryLog:
- processes the personal data in the file only to produce your report, as instructed by the upload, and for no other purpose;
- keeps it confidential: the file is converted automatically, and anyone who could access it in an incident is bound to confidentiality;
- protects it with the security measures described in the Privacy notice (isolated conversion without network access, HTTPS, a report that opens only for your account);
- deletes the file as soon as it has been converted and the report when you delete it or its viewing time ends, so nothing is kept after the service has been provided;
- uses one sub-processor for this data, Contabo GmbH, which hosts the server in Germany; changes to sub-processors are announced on the Privacy page before they apply, and you can object by stopping using the service;
- helps you, as far as possible given that files are deleted within minutes, to answer requests from the people concerned and to meet your own security and breach obligations, and tells you without undue delay if a personal data breach affects your files;
- gives you, on request to support@everylog.net, the information needed to show that these obligations are met.
Kinds of data: identifiers found in diagnostic logs (user and account names, host names, IP and MAC addresses, e-mail addresses in notification settings). People concerned: the users and administrators of the equipment the log comes from. Duration: from the upload until the report is deleted.
10. The service itself
The EveryLog software, website and brand are proprietary. © 2026 Everylog. All rights reserved. You may not copy, resell or rebrand the service.
11. Changes and contact
These terms may be updated. The version published on this page applies from the date shown at the top; important changes are announced to account holders in advance, by e-mail or on the site. If you do not agree with a change, you can delete your account. Questions: support@everylog.net.
